Ian Anderson/Jethro Tull

Details
Ian Anderson/Jethro Tull
An autograph letter, signed, to Joyce, a friend of Anderson's girlfriend at that time, Yvonne Nicholson [n.d. but 22nd October, 1968], written on two pages taken from a cashbook, Anderson asking how she is and wondering why he hadn't received a reply to a previous letter....I suppose you know that I am famous now...Our L.P. [This Was] came out just over a week ago and should make the L.P. charts on Wednesday. Which means a lot....Have to get a new one together in a month. A considerable feat of musical cunning. Probably be a complete failure. Keeps me busy and deep in thought and coffee. Jeff and John are with me now (not playing - just living and at school again) which is all right [sic] but we don't see much of each other as I work a lot. I have a lot of problems but they are important. I mean it's important to have problems otherwise things wouldn't mean much would they ?.....Please write back - nobody else does much these days - write I mean....love, Ian (Anderson), 2pp, framed with corresponding envelope and a black and white snap-shot of Anderson in 1966 -- 5x3in. (12.7x9cm.), the reverse of the first page visible through an opening at the back of the frame, overall measurements -- 16x13in. (40.6x34.3cm.)
