Lot Essay
Takase Kozan (1868 – 1934) was the eldest son of Takase Kanatake. He worked in the ceramic company Ikeda Seisuke in Kobe. In 1887, he joined the metalwork branch of Ikeda company in Kyoto. In 1893, he started his own business and reached the climax of his carreer in 1910 when the Crown Prince acquired several of his works.
