ISABEY, Jean-Baptiste. [Divers essais lithographiques. Paris: plates dated 1818-9].
Oblong 4° (240 x 310mm). A collection of 10 lithographed plates by De Lasteyrie, Engelmann and Langlumè, 8 with sepia tints, 7 dated and 9 with Isabey's studio stamp (occasional light spotting to margins). Contemporary morocco-backed boards (lightly rubbed).
Isabey (1767-1855) was on of the first French artists to experiment with lithography, and this series of plates is one of his earliest lithographic works (cf. Benezit V p.730).
