Business Taxes payable by Buyers
As required by the laws of the Republic of China, Christie's shall charge 5% business VAT on the 'hammer price only' with repect to any imported items delivered in Taiwan to the buyer. On these imposted lots, such tax shall be exempted only if delivery takes place outside Taiwan. Buyers of these lots who wish to take delivery abroad should give Christie's Taiwan instruction in writing no later than two working days after the sale.
