The barquentine Gladstone was built by Hyndman on Prince Edward Island, Canada, in 1873. Originally rigged as a barque but soon altered to a barquentine, she was registered at 319 tons gross (297 net) and measured 118 feet in length with a 26 foot beam. Owned by W.H. Tucker of Swansea and working the salted fish trade, she disappears from record after 1882.
