The celebrated Da Vinci model with redesigned tonneau-shaped case, ref. 3764, was launched in 2007 in the famous Uffizi library in Florence. It is fitted with calibre 89360, the first chronograph movement entirely developed in-house in the history of IWC.

The model is described and illustrated in IWC Schaffhausen - Engineering Time Since 1868 by Manfred Fritz, Paulo Coelho, Enki Bilal, pp. 451, 460-471, calibre 89360 pp. 468 & 469.
