The uniforms are comparable to the ones worn in the battle of Quatre-Bras and Waterloo 1815.
The Regiment Huzaren no. 6 was founded in 1813 as the Regiment Huzaren van Boreel. The crowned 'W' on the sword-bag was replaced in 1820 by a 6. Therefore the uniforms depicted are to be dated between 1813 and 1820. We are grateful to Mr J.A. Buijse of the Legermuseum, Delft, for his help cataloguing this lot.
