This set of four prints are after the celebrated series of drawings by Perino del Vaga, Rosso Fiorentino, Giulio Romano and Marcantonio Raimondi known as the Loves of the Gods, executed circa 1527 for the publisher Baviera. The drawings were subsequently engraved by Giovanni Jacopo Caraglio and this set is directly inspired by Caraglio's finished engravings.
