This waistcoat was given by Cash to Stan Jacobson Producer of The Johnny Cash Television Show on the ABC network between June 1969 - May 1971. Jacobson had toured with Cash prior to the first summer series of The Johnny Cash Show and states in his letter accompanying the lot His last show of the tour was in Shreveport Louisiana. At the end of the show I went in to his dressing room and that's when he gave me the vest as an affirmative gesture about our relationship. To my best recollection, it would have been around February or early March 1969.
