Lot Essay

Condition: 4B(ii)
Cosmetic: Normal use and wear.
Mechanical: Apparently working.
Lenses: Clean and clear, minor handling marks.

The PATT engraving was used by the British Royal Navy. HMS Exeter was a cruiser with six 8-inch and four 4-inch guns, which won Exeter battle honours at the Battle of the River Plate on 13 December 1939. The Japanese sunk the ship at the Battle of the Java Sea on 1 March 1942.
