ITALIAN VIEWS AT THEIR MOST DRAMATICALLY IMPRESSIVE, often chosen for their classical or literary associations. This is a rare deluxe publication, the original subscriber's list limited to 89 names. Linton's route around Italy in 1828-29 included visits to Lugano, Milan, Turin, Genoa, Florence, Rome and its vicinity, Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento, Amalfi, Assisi, Perugia, Bologna, Ferrara, Venice and Padua.
