An oak and crossbanded bureau bookcase, English, mid 18th century
the upper section with moulded cornice and a pair of stellar inlaid doors enclosing a fitted interior of pigeon-holes and drawers around a central cupboard also stellar inlaid and itself with an arrangement of twelve small drawers and an open compartment, with two candle-slides below, the inlaid sloping fall with a fitted interior above a well, with two short and two long drawers, on bracket feet, restorations --38.5in.(98cm.) wide, 80in.(204cm.) high, 22.5in.(57cm.) deep
