Based on the painting of the same subject by Jan Brueghel II with figures painted by a follower of Rubens, now in the M. H. de Young Memorial Museum, San Francisco, no. 49.6. A variant is in the Bremen Kunsthalle, no. 736-57/3.

An attribution to Jasper van der Laanen has been suggested for the landscape.
