Each with a reeled oval padded back, arm-rests and seat covered in ivory damask, the arms on stop-fluted downswept supports and stop-fluted baluster legs with brass caps and castors, both stamped WE, re-gilt, with batten carrying-holes (2)

Lot Essay

A set of six armchairs of very similar design, although without the beading around the oval backs, was sold at Sotheby's from the collection of Lord Robert Crichton-Stuart, London, 26 June 1959, lot 182.
