A GEORGE III SATINWOOD AND MAHOGANY SECRETAIRE BOOKCASE
Crossbanded with amaranth and inlaid with green-stained boxwood line, the moulded and key pattern cornice and plain frieze above a pair of interlacing glazed doors enclosing an interior with three adjustable shelves, the lower section with a fitted secretaire-drawer simulated as two drawers enclosing a brown tooled leather-lined writing-surface with one long and two short mahogany-lined drawers and eight pigeon holes above three further graduated drawers, on a shaped apron and splayed bracket feet, minor losses and restorations, the glazing bars and roundels replaced, elements of cornice replaced
