The model for these candelabra is very closely related to that of the candelabra supplied by Denière for the Grand-Trianon in 1837. A closely related pair with scrolled candlebranches was sold at Sotheby's London, 15 June 1990, lot 156 and a further pair attributed to Thomire was sold at Sotheby's London, 8 December 1995, lot 282.
