The midnight-blue field with small floral sprays around rows of polychrome octagons containing concentric hooked lozenges, in an ivory border of meandering flowering and leafy vine between reciprocal skittle-pattern and inner angular vine stripes, slight loss at each end, repaired crease lines with some repairs and repiling, some areas of wear
Approximately 7ft.7in. x 4ft.5in. (231cm. x 134cm.)
Warp: goat-hair, 1 strand white and 1 strand dark brown or 1 strand white with 1 strand light brown, Z2S, or brown wool Z3S, lightly undulating
Weft: 2 shoots, dark brown wool, one shoot sometimes light brown, Z2S, undulating
Pile: wool, Z2S, symmetrical inclining to the right, H3.0 x V3.2/cm.
Sides: wefts flat-woven around three additional warps
