The blue ground richly gilt throughout, the domed cover with berry finial, above the waisted neck, the tapering oviform body decorated with a continuous scene depicting Petrarch and Laura at the court of the Avignon Pope, on a spreading foot and tapering stand, decorated with two further scenes from Petrarch, the cover inscribed Petrarka y Laura en la corte del Papa de Avignon, the stand with underglaze blue beehive mark
