Circa 1753

The top with central well and six holes for pens and painted with insects among scattered flower-sprays, the waisted sides with a continuous Chinoiserie landscape of birds in flight over junks in full sail and rocky islands, pagodas, fences and gardens (minute chips to inner rim, slight wear)
4 3/4in. (12cm.) diam.
