FOUR ENGLISH PORCELAIN HANDLES
19th/20th century

A pair of armorial knife and fork-handles of waisted outline and flattened oval section with a stained 'ivory' glaze, printed and coloured with the arms of Wymer impaling Mitford, with silver blade and four-tined fork, the fork London 1884, the knife-blade Sheffield 1873 (knife-handle cracked), 3 1/2in. (9cm.) long; a handle of faceted pistol form, gilt with the entwined monogram LL beneath an earl's coronet, the lower part moulded and gilt with scroll and diaper-ornament, fitted with a giltmetal spoon and ferrule, perhaps Minton, circa 1840, 3 1/2in. (9cm.) long; and a Bone China butter-knife printed and coloured with a garland of pink roses and other flowers, plated blade (damaged), 1 7/8in. (4.5cm.) long (4)
