A VENICE (COZZI) SPIRALLY-MOULDED OVAL SUGAR-BOWL AND COVER AND A BLUE-SCALE DISH
Circa 1780
Painted with scattered bouquets and flower-sprays beneath green-scale borders edged with gilt foliage scrolls, the cover with apple finial (chips to inside flange of cover, slight chip to rim of bowl), red anchor mark, 4 1/8in. (10.5cm.) wide; the dish gilt with trailing flowers within oval cartouche reserved on a blue and gilt scale ground (cracked across aand repaired), 10 1/2in. (26.5cm.) diam. (2)
