See also the example from the Elizabeth Parke Firestone Collection, sold in our New York Rooms, 21 March 1991, lot 146, where it is noted in the catalogue that this group represents the Duc de Nivernais and Madame de Pompadour in the rôles of Alcindor and Lucinda in the play L'Oracle, which was first performed before Louis XV in 1748
