TWO CAUCASIAN KINDJALS, AND A CAUCASIAN BELT
EACH 19TH CENTURY
The first with hollow-ground blade stamped with two marks on each side, the hilt and scabbard each with nielloed silver mounts (chape finial missing), the back of the locket inscribed 'Kavkaz' ('Caucasus'); the second with watered Persian blade with a gold-inlaid Arabic inscription on each side 'You are the mighty and powerful God' and 'Mohammed ibn Pasha' (probably the owner), dark horn hilt, and original scabbard covered with red velvet, complete with silver-mounted belt; the last comprising numerous rectangular nielloed silver slides over a leather strap (replaced), and with buckle en suite
