With single off-set fuller and a mark on each side of the blade, the right side with a further mark, that of the bladesmith 'Mohammed', silver hilt with large dome-headed rivets securing the blade, and original wooden scabbard, almost entirely covered with silver, the right side of the hilt and scabbard chased with foliage on a punched and gilt ground and inlaid with niello, the left side of the locket with nielloed signature 'Amal i Omar' ('the work of Omar'), Russian mark for standard silver, town mark of Tiflis incorporating the date 1870, and a maker's mark 'EB' combined with the same date
