TWO SMALL-SWORDS, AND A SMALL-SWORD SCABBARD

THE FIRST CIRCA 1750, THE SECOND CIRCA 1650, PROBABLY ENGLISH, AND THE LAST MID-18TH CENTURY

The first with foil blade stamped 'In Solingen' on each face and struck on one face at the forte with a mark, the iron hilt pierced and chiselled with running foliage and flowers, and with later wooden grip; the second with tapering blade of stiff hollow-diamond section with central fuller at the forte with cruciform piercings and stamped 'Iann Meigen', iron hilt decorated with recessed mouldings, and later wooden grip with silver-wire Turk's heads; the last of wood covered in black leather (damaged and incomplete) with 'tonkinese' shakudo locket
