With three-stage turn-off cannon barrel, border engraved octagonal then polygonal breech signed below the steel-spring, border engraved action with small safety-catch (cock replaced), separate trigger-guard, swelling figured walnut butt, and cast and chased silver mounts comprising pierced side-plate, vacant escutcheon with small grotesque mask above, and foliate pommel also with grotesque mask, London proof marks
