With rebrowned twist octagonal sighted barrels, platinum-lined touch-holes, engraved grooved tangs, signed flat bevelled locks each with stepped tail, pierced cock (one replaced), safety-catch, roller, and semi-rainproof pan, walnut half-stocks (one fore-end cracked), chequered butts, engraved iron mounts, silver escutcheons, and later ramrods: in lined and fitted mahogany case, probably original, with a cleaning rod (lining damaged, some partitions and the top of the lid replaced), Birmingham proof marks
