EARLY 16TH CENTURY, PROBABLY GERMAN

Of blued iron partly gilded, the head with six flanges of double dolphin shape, each with a central fleur-de-lys shaped point (one slightly damaged), on slightly tapering tubular haft pierced for a wrist-cord, the grip formed by writhen flutes and lines between upper and lower mouldings, and with faceted flask-shaped finial
