The first carved in relief on the front of the body with interlaced tendrils and foliage on a scalework ground enclosing a coat-of-arms and motto surmounted by a plumed helm, the finial carved in the form of a ram-headed winged grotesque monster, with later white-metal nozzle issuing from a horn plate carved with serpents and a lizard in low relief; the second with plain body (split), iron mounts including belt hook fitted with a suspension-ring, and brass baluster nozzle
