EARLY 19TH CENTURY

With three-stage barrel of hog's back form profusely decorated with gold-damascened interlaced arabesques, and with foliage at the breech and slightly flared muzzle, the former with gold-lined Arabic inspector's mark, lock decorated en suite and with Arabic inscription on the underside of the mainspring, wooden full stock covered in black leather and with full embossed and chased silver-gilt mounts nielloed with arabesques and foliage against a stippled ground, held by pins and including two barrel bands, spherical ivory pommel (pommel-cap with minor damage) inlaid with a design of silver arabesques, silver suspension ring, gold-damascened button trigger, and no provision for a ramrod
