AN UNUSUAL 20-BORE FRENCH PERCUSSION PISTOL, CONVERTED FROM FLINTLOCK, AND A 50-BORE SINGLE-TRIGGER OVER-AND-UNDER PERCUSSION PISTOL
THE FIRST BY MOULARD DUFOUR A ST. ETIENNE, EARLY 19TH CENTURY, THE SECOND MID-19TH CENTURY, PROBABLY LIEGE
The first with reblued swamped octagonal sighted barrel, brass box-lock action and fore-stock in one piece and signed on the left side, chequered walnut butt with full-length iron back-strap, iron mounts and ramrod (in renovated condition); the second with scroll engraved back-action locks and mounts, figured walnut butt, and lanyard ring (iron parts polished and with light pitting)
