BOTH EARLY 19TH CENTURY, AND CONVERTED FROM FLINTLOCK

The first with reblued two-stage barrel with crowned barrelsmith's mark at the breech, moulded lightly carved full stock, chequered grip and fore-end, engraved iron mounts including pierced side-plate and escutcheon, flat oval pommel, slotted iron ramrod-pipes, and iron ramrod; the second with swamped polygonal barrel damascened in gold and inscribed 'Canon Tordu', rounded lock engraved 'St.Etienne', full stock (restored), chequered butt inlaid with silver wire, iron mounts, and later ramrod
