Converted from flintlock, with browned twist octagonal scratch rifled barrels, silver fore-sights, case-hardened patent breeches each with gold-lined crowned maker's stamp, gold line, and pierced platinum plug, engraved case-hardened tangs each with prominent back-sight, signed border engraved case-hardened detented locks each decorated with foliage and with engraved blued safety-catch, engraved hammers each with detachable nose (one hammer a working replacement, hammer spur repaired), figured walnut half-stocks (some bruising), chequered butts, border engraved blued iron mounts including pommel-caps and trigger guards, the latter decorated with a martial trophy on the bow, trigger-plates with pineapple finial, vacant silver escutcheons and barrel-bolt escutcheons, horn fore-end caps, original horn-tipped ramrods, and much original finish (some surface rust overall)
