A RARE PAIR OF 16-BORE FLINTLOCK PISTOLS OF VICTORIAN ROYAL MAIL COACH TYPE

BY J. HARDING & SON, BORO' (SIC), LONDON, DATED 1840

With heavy brass barrels each signed on the breech and numbered '383', iron tangs, signed bevelled locks, each dated on the stepped tail and fitted with safety-catch (steels refaced), walnut full stocks, brass mounts (pommels nicked), and brass-tipped ramrods (one fore-end repaired and partly replaced, one ramrod associated, iron parts with some wear and patination, one cock loose on spindle), London and Ordnance proof marks
