Rebuilt from flintlock, with rifled twist octagonal sighted barrels signed in gold and with silver fore-sight, case-hardened recessed patent breeches engraved with a martial trophy and foliage, tangs en suite, signed and engraved case-hardened detented locks with engraved blued safety-catches, highly figured walnut half-stocks, flattened chequered butts (one bruised), blued steel trigger-guards engraved with a martial trophy, case-hardened trigger-plates each with pineapple finial, vacant silver escutcheons and barrel-bolt escutcheons, engraved silver fore-end caps, set triggers, original brass-mounted ramrods, and nearly all their original finish: in lined and fitted mahogany case with accessories including Bartram copper flask, the lid (split and repaired) with trade label of Chas.
