Of box-lock pistol form, with signed border engraved action decorated with a martial trophy on one side and foliage on the other, large indicator wheel with sprung release catch and internal return spring, numbered from 1 to 30 and made in one with an anvil fitting against the muzzle, trigger without guard, and flat-sided figured walnut butt

Lot Essay

James 1 Wilkinson was foreman and successor to Henry Nock. In 1805 he was appointed Gunmaker-in-Ordinary to George III. He died in 1848
