The frosted gilt half plate chain fusee movement with free sprung bimetallic balance, blued steel helical spiral, diamond endstone and jewelled to the third with screwed chatons, spring detent, Earnshaw escapement, the top plate with the engraved Royal Warrrant and the crest for the Medaille d'Honneur for the World Exhibition of 1855, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds, up and down indication at XII, blued steel spade hands, in engine turned half hunter case with Roman numerals to the front cover, engraved presentation to the cuvette, casemaker's mark J.W, in brass-bound two tier mahogany box with key, case and dial signed and numbered
