2° (295 x 207mm). Collation: π4 A-M6 N8 O-P6 Q4 R-Z6 Aa6 Bb4 Cc6 Dd8. Title with woodcut of Cicero and decorative border, 128 large woodcut illustrations, some full-page, by Schäufelin, the Petrarca Master and probably Johannes Weiditz, many within woodcut borders, numerous woodcut vignettes and initials. (First quire laid down, Cc3 signed Dd3 and misfoliated, slightly soiled.) Modern leather-backed boards, brass clasps.
Second edition of this collection: the first was published by Steiner the previous year. Apparently complete, although the collation varies from that given by Adams (C-1786), which ends with Dd6 Ee4.
