FIRST EDITION IN ITALIAN, which contains Cortes's second and third letters to Charles V describing his conquests (the first is lost). These were originally published in Spanish in 1522, followed by a Latin translation by Savorgnanus published in Nuremberg in 1524, the same year as the present Italian version, which is translated from Latin.
