2 parts in one volume, 2° in 8s (325 x 223mm). Collation: π2 A-G8 H4 A-Q8 (lacking blank H4). First title in red and black. The first part with 6 woodcut illustrations, one full-page; the second with about 228 woodcut illustrations of tack on 138 pages, 88 full-page (the majority of bits). (Some insignificant worming, some browning; second part: illustration on C8v shaved, tear to margin of L3, small hole in M2). Contemporary vellum (light worming to the spine).
Second edition. The first was published in Naples in 1602, and a third edition was printed in Venice in 1653. It is sometimes difficult to establish what constitutes an individual woodcut, and therefore to arrive at an agreed total number: both Lipperheide and Nissen give the total as 230.
