Johannes Bulle printed some 30 works at Rome in 1478-79, most of which were thin quartos, as here. His type is "curiously close" to that used by John Lettou, one of the first printers at London. That similarity and the coincidence of Bulle disappearing from Rome in 1479 and Lettou appearing at London in 1480 suggest they may be the same person. Such a conclusion would be strengthened if their place names could be reconciled, since Bulle twice called himself of Bremen, and "Lettou" indicates the London printer was Lithuanian.
