Probably the first edition of this excellent little poem on bees which some have assigned to Florence, possibly printed by Giunta, and others to Rome. It was published posthumously by the author's brother, Palla, who was charged by Giovanni to send it to Trissino in Rome to prepare it for the press. Having enjoyed two further editions, it was eventually included in the 1599 edition of Alamanni's La coltivazione. Gamba 845 ('assai rara'); Capponi 333; Parenti 289.
