Each intricately carved and depicting various scenes from daily life and the legends of Japan; among them a carpenter planing a log, signed Sobun; farmers thrashing rice plants, signed Nobukazu; a wig maker, signed Gyokushu; a man cleaning his zushi, signed Tangasai Bishu; a man seated preparing plants, beside a bamboo fence, signed Tangasai Bishu; the many figures from legends including two oni, one banging a gong, signed Gyokushun; Raiden with his thunder drum, signed Masatoshi; Choryo and Kosekiko, signed Mitsuo; a group of bakemono, signed Ryumin; a group of kappa taking food from a farmer, signed Kogyoku; Benten playing a koto above a coiled dragon, signed Masatsugu; a karasu tengu emerging dramatically from it's egg, signed Masaaki; Raiden alarming a group of onlookers as he and a group of revellers come alive from a tsuitate, signed Masamitsu; Daikoku riding a horse, being attended by a group of oni, signed Gyokusui; the remaining thirty-six of numerous subjects
