AN UNIDENTIFIED CHESTNUT SHAPED MARK WITH "KO" IN KATAKANA, 19TH CENTURY
Decorated in various coloured enamels and wire with three shaped panels, each depicting irises and a dragonfly, chrysanthemums and sweet peas and birds among black gold stoned ground filled with stylized kiri and foliage, the neck with a band of stylized chrysanthemums between two bands of shaped panels filled with crane, the crescent and the sun and auspicious characters, the foot similarly decorated with two animals and stylized flowers
