The one piece [ichimai] repousse helmet in the form of a mountain coiled round which is a dragon in gold and silver nunome zogan, a copper gilt kuwagata-dai and kuwagata bearing shikoro of russet iron itamono splashed with sawari gamahada, laced with murasaki sugake odoshi and made to be detatched; russet iron full face mask somen in two parts; namban-do of russet iron in three pieces with sharply crested medial ridge copying European models, the front decorated with a coiled dragon in silver and gold nunome zogan, on the back; the do is fitted with brackets for the sashimono of pale blue silk with kusazuri of russet iron heavily splached with sawari, laced with murasaki sugake odoshi; yodarekake, sode and haidate of hexagonal plates of russet iron splashed with sawari set in mail over gold brocade; kote of pierced plates and ikada treated and mounted as above; matching Shino suneate; and saihai with lacquered wood shaft, silvered papers and the same mon on the end of kanamono

Although unsigned, the mask is very similar in form to a mask signed Washu ju Munenobu in Tokyo National Museum, illustrated in Iida, Katchumen Mononofu no kaso (Tokenshunju Shimbunsha, Tokyo 1991), p. 135, pl. 121.
