Lot Essay

Accompanied with N.B.T.H.K. tokubetsu kicho certificate no. 111.
The artist was born in Kyoto in 1766. He went to Edo in Kansei, Kyowa era and learned drawings from Ganku. He was also influenced by the Maruyama school painting, and there are known drawings by him which were influenced by Nagasawa Rosetsu. He was one of the master metalworkers of Kyoto.
