Lot Essay

This is a commentary on al-Fathiyah, an astronomical work of 'Ali al-Qushji (d. AH 879/1474 AD).The title of the work alludes to the conquest of the fort of Uzun Hasan by Sultan Mehmed II in 1472 AD, a contemporary event.The work was completed during the life of Sultan Bayezid II (1481 - 1512).
