This lexicon is arranged in sections according to the last letter of each root; each of these in turn is divided according to the first letter of the root.

This is a very early and remarkably complete copy of this work. The marginal notes are probably in the hand of Ahmad bin Muhammad bin al-Maidani (d. AH 518/1124 AD)
