Oil on canvas, in a landscape, the prince stands in three-quarter profile holding a bow and arrow, wearing a tall black hat, heavily jewelled grey tunic and sash over red undercoat with boteh design and with a miniature of Muhammad Shah, inscription in top right corner in white nasta'liq reading "In the name of Allah, may he be exalted, I am Nasr al-Din and I adore dervishes; Oh God, be a witness to what I have said!", (of arched form, laid down on new canvas, some restoration), on rectangular stretcher
