Of typical form with rounded sides and tringular section rim, the side engraved with a band of thuluth honorific inscriptions on scrolling vine grounds within oval cartouches alternating with roundels containing similar inscriptions inverted and radiating from a central rosette, the spandrels with diaper pattern, a band below of honorific inscriptions alternating with flying birds and divided by rosette roundels, the underside with an interlaced six-pointed panelled floral design forming panels of diaper pattern, spandrels with flying birds flanking rosettes and a central radiating inscription roundel, the interior engraved with a stylised fish-pond, rubbed, considerable black composition infill and very occasional traces of gold inlay remaining, Chinese carved wood stand

The main inscription reads: al-maqarr al-'ali al-mawlawi al-'alimi al-'amili al-'adili al-ghazi al-maliki al-nasiri.

The inscription contained in the roundels reads: al-maqarr al-'ali al-maliki al-maliki al-nasiri.

The inscription on the lower band reads: al-maqarr al-'ali al-maliki al-'alimi al-'amili al-'adili al-ghazi al-maliki al-maliki al-nasiri.

Flying ducks as seen on the base are a feature of the decoration in the period of al-Malik al-Nasir.
